Join us for a Catskills Celebration! The Catskills Visitor Center will host a day full of activities that celebrate some of the many things we love about the Catskills.
Bring friends and family to learn about the flora and fauna of the Catskills, enjoy some live music, grab a bite to eat, discover local history, see local artists at work, and even create some art of your own!
Some of the day's activities will include:
An educational nature walk to learn about our local birds
Finding and identifying the creatures (macroinvertebrates) living in our streams
Working with a local artist to use the sun to create cyanotype art
Learning how to create paint from our Catskills rocks
Live music by local singer/songwriter Story Laurie
Opportunity to see local reptiles and amphibians up close
Discovering the mysteries of sound with the Dirtmeister
Exploring the power of the past with staff from Hanford Mills Museum
Food from Terri's Deli in Kingston will be available for purchase. Selections include: BBQ pork or chicken, mac n cheese, or a summer salad (available as long as supplies last).
